The Advisory Board of the Ezra Pound International Conference has now reviewed all proposals and has tentatively scheduled 75 papers on the topic of ÒROMA AMOR: Pound, Love, and Rome,Ó for the 23rd Ezra Pound International Conference in Rome, 30 June - 4 July 2009. The conference will be held at the Centro Studi Americani (Center for American Studies) in the beautiful Palazzo Antici Mattei, via Michelangelo Caetani, 32, Largo di Torre Argentina (Piazza Argentina), nearby the Trastevere, Piazza Venezia, and the Pantheon areas. Within a few meters of Piazza Venezia, it is within walking distance of the Forum, the Colosseum, the Pantheon, and other attractions in the center of Rome.
The Registration Form is now ready. Full details of the schedule of sessions, additional conference events, and optional excursions will be announced at this website in the coming weeks.
If you intend to participate, with or without a proposal, you should proceed to make the necessary arrangements for lodging in Rome in a timely manner. Those wishing to book hotels may wish to choose from the list below. But you may also want to check websites (some of which are listed below) to search for hotels by name, category, location, and amenities. Most hotels will accept reservations made via the internet and/or email, and most will accept a credit card for reservations without charging the account until arrival (or unless no cancellation is made far enough in advance).
