Application Form

1. If you are a current UNO student and already enrolled either as non-degree or degree seeking students, this form and the items mentioned in item 5 are the only application materials you need to submit.

2. If you are not a current UNO student and wish to take the coursework at Brunnenburg non-credit, this form and the items mentioned in item 5 are the only application materials you need to submit.

3. If you are not a current UNO student and wish to take the coursework at Brunnenburg for credit, either to transfer to another university or simply to have on your record, you will need also to fill out an application for admission to the university. These forms will be sent to you after you have been accepted into the Brunnenburg program.

4. You may also use this form if you have already enrolled but need to make changes.

5. Applicants to the Ezra Pound Center for Literature are required to submit, along with this form and (possibly) other applicable university forms, a 250 word personal statement addressing (a) your background in Pound studies and/or your background in poetry writing, and (b) why you are interested in this program and how you feel it will augment your current studies or goals. Applicants to the poetry workshop who have not taken creative writing classes before should also submit 3 poems. These items may be pasted into the text box at the bottom of this form, or they may be submitted separately. Fee Information

Total Fees: $2,695.00.

Fees include all coursework, credit or non-credit, one or two classes. Room and board is also included, as described in the brochure information. Transportation is not included.

No applications are considered that are not accompanied by a deposit of (min.) $300.00. See complete payment terms below. Deposits are returned in full to anyone not accepted into the program.

Comments and/or Personal Statement

What else do we need?

    • University Application: Depending on your situation, you may need, also to file a formal university application. We will contact you with further information regarding this if further action is required.
    • Payment: The application is not complete until payment is received, according to the following schedule:


Payment Schedule

  1. A deposit of $300.00 is required with the application.
  2. A second payment of $500.00 is due March 1, 2008.
  3. Late applicants (after March 1) must remit a deposit of $800.00 with the application.
  4. Payment in full is due April 15, 2008. Those applying after this date must remit the entire program cost with the application.
  5. All checks must be made payable to UNO and mailed to The Ezra Pound Center for Literature • UNO Metro College • New Orleans, LA 70148.
  6. Credit Card payments can be made by telephone to 504 280 7457. Email with questions.

Refunds

  1. All monies will be refunded in full to students who are not accepted into the program.
  2. All payments (except $150 cancellation fee) are fully refundable if a student withdraws from the program voluntarily by March 1, 2008.
  3. A cancellation fee of $300 will be assessed for any cancellation after January 1, 2008.
  4. A cancellation fee of $500 will be assessed for any cancellation after March 1, 2008.
  5. NO REFUNDS WILL BE MADE for students who cancel after May 15, 2008, nor for students who withdraw from the program before its completion.
  6. The effective date of a cancellation shall be the date that written notice is received by the Program Coordinator at the University of New Orleans.
  7. Refund policies apply to all students regardless of date of application.
